Moose and Teaching English

So, it was around 5:15 this morning that I began to think I was a little crazy for going running. Not only was I half asleep and could see my breath, but I ran past one of the largest moose I have ever seen. Apparently it happens all the time here. Love that. Alaska.

It really fascinates me teaching people to speak my language. The questions that arise and the looks I get from people when certain phrases or grammar just don't make any logical sense - they just are the way they are...it's just plain fun. The tricky part is explaining it in a way that makes sense to someone who has absolutely no context for whatever you're talking about. I swear it's one of the best jobs in the world.

"Goodnight, You princes of Maine. You kings of New England."
( ...I miss you RI )
